Emergency Services: While Scotia Community Services District provides many essential services, other services, such as fire protection and law enforcement are provided by other agencies. The Scotia Volunteer Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services to the community of Scotia, and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department provides law enforcement and public safety services. County Owned Infrastructure: Humboldt County Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining B Street, Church Street, Eddy Street, Main Street, Mill Street, 1^st Street, 2^nd Street, 3^rd Street, 4^th Street 5^th Street and 6^th Street. The County is also responsible for all sidewalks in the District.
